Explore the art of knitting, sewing, and crochet with our specially designed classes for beginners of all ages. Enjoy a personalised learning experience in our small group sessions, ensuring more fun and effective learning within each class. The cost includes access to sewing machines, knitting/crochet needles, and all materials such as fabric, wool, trims, and notions.

Lessons take place in our home studio located on the Upper North Shore of Sydney, providing a comfortable and inspiring environment for your creative journey.

Sewing Classes

Each student has their own sewing machine to use. We use quality materials to create age appropriate designs and in-season garments.

Students will:

Learn how to thread a sewing machine and to use it safely.
Learn the basic stitches, and some fancy stitches.
Use those skills to make items they can use, e.g. library bags, skirt, shorts, cushions, totes etc.
How to overlock, hem, applique,basic quilting...

Knitting Classes

Knitting needles, yarn and patterns are provided to start your knitting journey.

Students will:

Learn how to cast on and cast off.
Learn the basic stitches in knitting, progress onto more advanced ones including cables.
Learn how to change colours.
Learn how to make a fringe, how to make pom-poms, and more.

Crochet Classes

Crochet hooks, yarn and patterns are provided to learn and practise the basic stitches.

Students will:

Start with a foundation chain, and learn how to do a magic circle.
Learn the basic crochet stitches.
Learn how to change colours.
Learn how to add a Fringe to the scarf, and how to make pom-poms, and more.

Kids Classes

We usually hold classes for kids on Saturdays and during the school holidays.

There are a few options with these classes:

Single 1hr class: $50 --- flexible, pay as you go.
Single 2hr class: $65, flexible, pay as you go.
Single 3hr class: $80 --- flexible, pay as you go.

Classes sizes are limited to a maximum of 4 students, to ensure each student receives individualised guidance. Absolute beginners very welcome, no experience is necessary!

Adult Classes

Sessions for adults in sewing, knitting, and crochet are now available! They are usually held on weekdays between 10am and 1pm.

There are a few options with these classes:

Single 1hr class: $50 --- flexible, pay as you go.
Single 2hr class: $65, flexible, pay as you go.
Single 3hr class: $80 --- flexible, pay as you go.

For adult classes we will be starting with simple projects of your choice. You may want to provide your own fabric for your chosen projects, and are of course welcome to bring your own machine to "get to know" your machine. Please feel free to call me prior to the class to have a chat regarding what you would like to make.

Holiday Workshops

We offer holiday workshops for sewing students in the April, July, October, and January school holidays. Classes run from 10am --- 4pm, and is suitable for students aged 7+.

Single 6hr day: $150 per person --- pay in advance.

Holiday workshops are a great way to get a taste of this creative hobby, and you get to take home an item which you've made by yourself from start to finish. We have a limit of 4 students per workshop, and you are very welcome to organise your own group of friends! We also cater to different levels of experience. Please bring lunch, a drink, and a snack!

Gift Certificate

Our gift certificate is now available. Why not gift someone an educational and fun experience?

The gift certificate comes with the following options:

One or more 1hr classes, $50 each.

One or more 2hr classes, $65 each.
One or more 3hr classes, $80 each.

One or more school holiday workshops, $150pp.

Sewing Jars

Our sewing jars are the perfect starter kits for absolute beginners. Each jar comes with essential tools including pins, chalk, pegs, buttons, a rotary cutter, a thread snip, an unpicker, threaders, needles, and an array of ribbons and laces, and more!
